SEPTEMBER 11, 2019 CHRONIC ILLNESS

There are some dates in your life you never forget where and what you were doing. We think of our marriage, the birth of children, the days loved ones died and much more. For others, it would be November 1963 the day President Kennedy was shot or maybe July 20, 1969 when man landed on the moon. For some , it is 18 years ago, September 11, 2001. I was in Federal Court as a Juror across from the Twin Towers.

As a physician who volunteered at St Vincent’s on that day it was tragic. It is even tragic 18 years later when I see individuals who were exposed to the toxins, from that disaster. Many individuals have died from various cancers who were there, and many have chronic illnesses that started 5 years after their exposure.

It is difficult to assess how to find out what is causing their chronic illness. Many of those affected have respiratory issues. For others it is malaise, fatigue, hair loss, multiple skin issues and much more. I search for a individuals exposure to toxins/molds. I utilize in my office in Connecticut- hair analysis for toxic metals and two tests from Great Plains Laboratory.

The Great Plains Laboratory, Inc. is a world leader in providing diagnostics for metabolic, mitochondrial, and environmental factors in chronic illnesses. We offer a variety of state-of-the-art metabolic tests such as the Organic Acids Test (OAT), GPL-TOX (Toxic Non-Metal Chemical Profile), IgG Food Allergy Test, and our newest test, the MycoTOX Profile, which assesses mold exposure
